You may complete an application below. Please make sure to select the correct application for the term that you are applying to:

  • Applicants for Fall 2022 and Summer 2022  can apply here through CSU.
  • Applicants for Spring 2022 can apply here through CSU.

Some programs require a supplemental application. Read the information on admissions requirements by program and be aware of important dates and deadlines.

The below list of programs use CAS systems for application processing. Please follow the list below to apply:

 

Pay the application fee.

In response to COVID-19, CSU is waiving the $40 application fee normally required for all degree, licensure and certificate programs.

Other fees may apply based on the program to which you are applying.

Obtain official transcripts.

Request official transcripts from every institution you’ve attended since high school and have them sent directly to:

The College of Education and Human Services only requires transcripts from the institution which granted your bachelor’s degree(s) and master’s degree(s).

Graduate Admissions Processing will obtain Cleveland State University transcripts — no need for current or previous CSU students to order official CSU transcripts.

Please note that all credentials submitted in support of your application become the property of Cleveland State University and cannot be released under any circumstance.

Submit official entrance exam scores (GRE, GMAT, MAT).

*In response to COVID-19, GRE requirements for all masters programs are being waived through Spring 2022. Some doctoral programs have reinstated GRE testing requirements. Check your programs website to determine if a GRE is required.

Not all programs require entrance exams. Read the information on admissions requirements by program.

  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) information is available online here. Our institution code is 1221. No program code is required.
  • Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) information is available online here. Our institution code is 832-VP-99.
  • The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) can be taken on campus through Testing Services.

Submit supplementary materials (recommendation letters, goal statement, writing sample).

Not all programs require supplementary application materials. Read the information on admissions requirements by program.

Download letter of recommendation cover sheet or ask your recommenders to submit their letters by email to allin1@csuohio.edu. Recommendation letters can also be managed and submitted by logging back into your online application and clicking the "Manage Recommendations" link.
